About

Eric has a diverse background in computer geometry systems and tools creation, architecture and urban design in practice, research and teaching at universities. He holds a PhD in architecture that resulted in a computation-enabled framework to analyse the implications of spatial planning on possible living patterns in built environments.

His explorations in computer geometry systems and early teaching materials for design computation and methods can be found in weblog and vimeo.com/ericc. His latest endeavor has been tile.graphics. It includes a suite of creative tools that he makes for himself to explore and advance the understanding of different concepts through periodicity in toroidal space, and their applications in different fields.

Eric likes cooking. He frequently answers the question of “What is for dinner?” with actions. From sourcing and planning resources, tooling (e.g. 3D printed ice cream machine), execution of the cooking process, delegating the actual cooking to appliances, presentation Instagram @eric.pycheung, to user testing and gathering feedback to improve the next process cycle. He helped to setup a food blog KUICINE, and is an active contributor.
